Movement
The spring-driven movement consists of going and striking trains as well as alarm. The going train has anchor escapement with a short silk-suspended pendulum. Dial
The circular white enamel dial has a black Roman chapter ring with five-minute and minute divisions. The time is indicated by a blued steel pair of Breguet hands. The central alarm hand is also made of blued steel. The center of the dial is signed Piguet Jqs. Lis. à Genève à la Croix Féderale. The dial is set in an engine-turned bezel. The winding holes are situated near the VII and the V.

Case
The brass case has doors to the sides with brass knobs. There is a bell on top of the clock with the striking and the alarm hammers under the bell. The bells are surmounted by a brass carrying handle attached to a finial, which has the same shape as the four finials on the corners. The clock rests on four shaped feet.
