Movement
Rectangular, brass plated movement with verge escapement and fixed pendulum, the so called ‘Kuhschwanzpendel’. The going train is driven by a barrel, that is wound on the backside.
Dial
The brass plate dial has a pewter chapter ring with roman hour numerals, half hour indicator between the hour numerals and quarter stripes. The Finely foliate pierced and engraved hands are made of gilded brass. The ’Cow tail pendulum’ is moving in front of the dial.
Case
The movement is hidden in an iron case and is mounted on the iron red-brown painted base plate. The movement can be displayed by opening the back of the case. A beautiful engraved fret and suspending ring on top.
