The weightdriven movement has Graham escapement with second pendulum. The weigths are made of brass-coated lead. Pendulum with regulation. Silvered dial with twice engraved Roman hour numerals I – XII. The time is pointed by a sun symbol.
The center of the dial is made of glass in a silvered engraved lunet. On the lunet the month are engraved, with the number of days and the constellations. On the glass is the Zodiac of the northern Hemisphere. The dial is turning over a silvered engraved dial. On the bottom of the dial the height line of Venice, calcolato per la Latitude di Venezia G. 45˚: 30’, the makers’ signature and date,da D. Gio: Batta Zugno Ven.to all’Anno 1800 and the name of the engraver Inciso da Pietro Scattaglia Veneto Incisore.
Wooden case, veneered with various woods like pallissander, olive and plum wood and is decorated with inlaid wooden strips. The upper part has the Zodiac dial and the dial is covered by a door with glass. The glass is decorated with carved wooden ornaments, veneered with gold leaf. The case has four drawers. The secretaire can be openend and behind the desk top there are two drawers and a small door.
