Movement
The clock has a brass movement between plates and consists of a going train only. It has Swiss lever escapement with vertical balance and hairspring with regulation. The clock is wound with a fixed winding key at the back plate, that is also numbered 2424624.

Dial
The rectangular silvered dial has an Arabic chapter ring with hour, five-minute and minute divisions. The time is indicated by a pair of blued steel hands. The dial is protected by a facetted glass, set in a silver frame. The dial is signed and marked: Eterna 8 days / Fab Suisse.

Case
The arched and waisted silver case rests on feet, which are integral parts of the case. It is beautifully geometrically engine-turned and covered in translucent pink enamel. It is embellished by painted flowers. The inside is gilded. The case can be opened at the rear side via a hinged silver engine-turned hatch, which is marked 935 argent doré and Eterna Watch Co Swiss, the number 2311410 and the bottom is marked 935/1000, a silver mark that is used from 1882 till 1934.

Eterna Watch Co
Eterna is a Swiss company which produces luxury watches. It was founded by Josef Girard and Urs Schild in Grenchen in the canton of Solothurn on 7 November 1856 and still exists today.
