Movement
The brass movement is constructed between two plates and has a going train only. It has an anchor escapement and an ebonised wooden pendulum with a prominent brass bob and is driven by a brass weight via a pulley. It is wound from the front. As usual with these types of wall clocks, the weight is suspended in front of the pendulum.
Dial
The circular, matt silvered dial has a Roman chapter ring with five-minute and minute divisions in a ring. The dial is set in an elegant gilt-brass engine-turned bezel. Above VI is the winding hole. The time is indicated by a pair of blued steel hands, the minute hand being balanced.
Case
The mahogany-veneered pine case is decorated with satinwood line inlays. The front and sides have rectangular windows, a small one at the top and a large one below. The case is surmounted by a typical triangular pediment. Two adjustment screws are mounted at the back of the lower part of the case.
